After being shortlisted among the top 60 students, pan India, based on our submitted development proposals, the GitHub Externship was a great milestone in my student journey. I worked towards implementing a new data import functionality and alongside team efforts, it was instrumental in company receiving US $3M (CAD 4,079,550) in seed funding from the OSS Capital and a CAD 175k grant from GitHub in addition to reaching 42,000 GitHub stars!
Fun Fact: Working with unfamiliar faces, this experience helped me build my confidence, practice my public speaking and improve my presentation skills.
